I started online marketing using Google Adwords in 2003. As the years went by, I started blogging and creating YouTube Video's which in time forced me to learn about SEO and Video SEO as well. Strangely enough, I became an SEO NUT! The most recent and most successful of my marketing endeavors is "Small Business Local SEO Services and Consulting" for small businesses.

I prefer to help those businesses that need search marketing assistance that are as close to my own home town area as possible, but helping local businesses to gain more customers is fairly simple in any city or town.

Encouragement Success and Fulfillment: Requirements For Such Success!

Encouragement Success and Fulfillment : Before a person can truly experience this in their own life it is essential to create a mindset that leads them to make good decisions that will create a life of “encouragement success and fulfillment”. True success is difficult to achieve without having encouraging people in your life. And those who are truly successful enjoy helping others on the journey as well.

People With Success and Fulfillment Encourage Others

And successful people typically encourage others for three reasons.

1- Successful People Know They Are A Product Of Encouragement.

Don’t allow yourself to be fooled. The “self made” man is a fallacy. Whether a mentor or a spouse behind them, there is someone who instilled courage when strength failed.. someone who believed when hope was gone.. and someone who renewed their spirit when fear banished their dream.

Amazing people never made it, or make it alone. They have someone to learn from and follow. Don’t confuse this with the weakling who uses others for a crutch or to feed a frail ego.

People who live their purpose daily got there by having someone in their lives who showed them the way and specifically encouraged them on the journey.

2- Successful People Remember Their Struggling First Steps.

Think back to a time when you tried something new and was really bad at it. I remember driving an 18 wheel truck for the first time. It wasn’t easy.

I had never been in a “Big-Truck” until I was 28 years old! Until then I had only been in cars with 4 wheels. When I got in a 40 ton Big-Truck for the first time and pulling a trailer that was 53 feet long everything felt unnatural to me!

Successful people are able to look back and remember how clumsy they were, and how awkward it felt to start in a new drivers seat in life. Those memories create a desire to help others. They don’t want to “prevent the mistakes and stubles” necessarily, but they do want to encourage people to keep going when they fall.

3- All Successful People Have Felt Like Quitting – But Didn’t.

ALL of them! Period! And they know what it feels like to want to give up!

Sometimes we look at people who live on the level we desire and we think, “It’s so easy for him. He’s so happy, driven and energetic… and always so positive. It’s as if he never gets down or sidetracked.”

There is no one who’s “made it” that didn’t feel like packing up, leaving the dreams behind, and settling for a mediocre anonymous existence. But those thoughts don’t last long.

Whatever drove them to the point of launching out somehow was rekindled, they took on the world again, and now they are glad they didn’t quit. These very same people will encourage others to keep on going when they feel like quitting.

Whether you know it or not, your own life either needs help or gives help to others for;

encouragement success and fulfillment.

Which one are you? Just a thought ;)

Instilling Encouragement

Some people get in the habit of feeding on encouragement, but never encourage others. Instilling courage is more than just calling someone up to say;

“I’m calling to check on you to see how you’re doing and to encourage you… You doing alright? That’s nice. Ok, talk to you later.”

On the contrary. Encouraging others is an investment! An investment in the development of someone wanting to leave their unpleasant circumstances for a more pleasant, successful and fulfilled lifestyle.

Whether we like it or not, our lives are going to be one of two things to other people… A warning, or an example. Which one will you choose to be? Go ahead, I’ll give you a second to think about it…

Back already? Ok, so did you choose to be an example and not a warning? Good! Here’s a few idea’s on how you can instill “Courage” in those around you.

1. Pinpoint The Fear And Weakness

When someone gets wounded out of fear or failure, help them see what caused the fear or failure. Rarely is it the anxiety of physical performance, but the acceptance of others.

For example, you’ve probably heard the common misconception that “Public Speaking is the #1 Fear.” I don’t believe that’s true.

Are you more afraid to speak to a group of 1,000 people or to jump off the Empire State building without a parachute? Suddenly, if just for a fleeting moment, public speaking is no so scary huh?

The fear is not the act of speaking. No one has ever stepped in front of a group of people and spoke their very first words. They’ve been speaking for years. So what are people really afraid of if it’s not speaking? Could it be losing control and looking stupid?

Human beings work their whole lives to control the way they are perceived by others. You can’t control a crowd. You can’t make them like you and not judge you.

So the real issue is not speaking, it’s actually not being able to control perception (DO NOT underestimate the power of “Perception”! The stock market is not driven by it’s true value, it’s driven by “the Perception of it’s value”!).

When you’re instilling confidence in someone, help them to see where the paralyzing fear, anxiety and weakness is coming from. Are they trying to please someone? Are their finances on the line? Do they fear looking foolish? Do they fear being judged as incompetent or as an idiot?

2. From Fearful To Cheerful

“Purely Motivational” seminars can actually hurt people by making them yell, “Yes I can! Yes I can!” Most of the people in the room cannot and never will get any lasting results out of unskilled, blind motivation!

REAL encouragement does not instill false courage. Real encouragement will include real skills that should move people from the point of fear to reality. Think and speak like this…

> “Stop worrying about the things you can’t change!  Here’s what you can do right now.

> “Here’s why that problem isn’t as big as you think.”

> “Here’s what you can achieve if you decide to focus on what you can do, then keep going and never give up.”

Don’t try to pump someone up with empty energy. There’s no need to get them into a passion frenzy only for them to plunge deeper after the words wear off.

3. Share An Authentic Personal Story Of Failure

When you reach your dreams people will think you are not like them. They will think you haven’t failed the way they have. Authenticity is one of the best tools of encouragement. It lets the other person see that you are real and vulnerable.

When building others up share a failure, a misstep or a mistake of your own. Let them know that you’ve made your share of mistakes, but that your mistakes eventually lead to your success instead of derailing it.

What success story do you have right now that you could share? What is the lowest point you have risen from? How could it be used to encourage someone.

These steps so far have fed the spirit, but encouragement also involves physically actionable skills as well.

In Closing:
I’ve been thinking about “Courage” almost on a daily basis for the past few years because I’ve had to have courage like I never thought possible (corny, but true!).

Then one evening about 2 years ago I began writing these thoughts of mine on paper.

This post is already quite long and yet it is only a fraction of what I have wrote down in my paper notebooks (that is on courage and encouragement alone) so far, so I’ll stop for now.

Man, I could write for hours and hours on my personal experiences with encouragement success and fulfillment! I would really like some feedback. Please.. Really. No kidding! For Real! …

In the comments section below let me, us, the world know about your thoughts or useful additions that you could contribute. We (other people) need your advice and / or stories of “Encouragement Success and Fulfillment” too!!

(Tiffany Dow) Best Free Video Player for ADHD [VIDEO]

Another Video For Tiffany Dow

This is one of the video’s that I made for Tiffany Dow called “Best Free Video Player” especially for ADHD / ADD’ers. This is the one that I intended to create immediately after the first video I made about the free video download helper software (ummm, wait… did I say that right?)… Where was I? Oh Yeah, but I got distracted by van repairs… sorry it took so long Tiffany!

A Free Video Player for YOU and Tiffany too

One of the Best Free Video Players, for watching video’s that you’ve downloaded from other websites including YouTube is called “VLC Media Player“. What’s so cool about this free software is that you can speed-up the playback of the video you want to watch. This is a major helper-outer for 2 reasons.

Playing Your Video Faster Saves Time

1: Most people understand that this is good for watching long training video’s because you can watch a 30 minute video in 20 minutes or even in 15 minutes, thus saving you lots of time and boredom. Did I say “boredom”? Yes! Which brings me to reason number two.

A Faster Video For Attention Deficit

2: There are a lot more people out there with Adult ADD or ADHD than you might think. For the ADD’er, a slow moving video presentation can get boring even on an interesting subject. The A.D.D. Brain moves so quickly that it is difficult to stay focused on one thing unless it is captivatingly interesting.

Also, especially in the case of training video’s, if they move too slowly it can be excruciating, if not darn near impossible, to have to sit and watch a video that proceeds too slowly! (YIKES! Yawn!) BUT!…

Since you can speed the video up using VLC Media Player, you are able to adjust the speed to your liking. This is like, Totally AWESOME Dudes and Dudettes! Try it for your self and see if you like it and how much time it saves you.

Hey, I have NO affiliation with VLC Media Player. I make NO money by telling you all this stuff. I just like to do things once in a while that actually help people out… not because I’m such a nice guy or anything like that. Heck No! In fact, I’m, umm… ummm… wait, let me think for a minute… hmmm.

Ok, well, maybe it is because I’m just a nice guy after all. YAY! :P

That’s all for now. If this video helped you out in any way, please come back and tell me in the comments section, Cool?

Free Video Download Software

There is a free video download software program called “Download Helper” that will help you out quite a bit if you’ve been having trouble viewing online video. Ironically, I’m going to ask you to watch the video below that explains this free software for “Downloading Video’s”. Funny Huh!? ;)

Video Download Software Tutorial

I was surprised to see how many people didn’t know about the Free Video Download software for FireFox called “Download Helper”,  so I created this little tutorial on where to find it and how to use it. Sometimes it will appear as if the downloading isn’t working properly, so I explain about how to work around it when that happens as well. I don’t really think there are bugs in it per se, but it does appear as if it kinda – sorta get’s stuck pretty often. I think it’s nice to know how to deal with it when it seems to get stuck. Don’t you agree?

I Love This Video Plugin For FireFox

This nifty cool little FireFox Plugin is an absolute dream come true! (hope you don’t mind the drama included LOL!). There was a time when I bought an entire online video course for WordPress blogging and then shortly thereafter they released the exact same course on DVD at a 50% higher price than the original online version. I bought the physical DVD anyway for the very reason that download helper was created for.

Great Free Video Software For Lazy Bloggers

The video explains it all pretty well I think. Please keep in mind that I was laying in bed late at night while making this humble little tutorial just like a true “Lazy Blogger” should be doing! ;-) … So I look and sound a bit tired. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments section below and I’ll do my best to help you out. Hope you enjoy! :P

Gary.

P.S. I have another humble little tutorial about a free video player that will play almost any file type. If you need to watch video’s at a faster pace, I show you how in my Best Free Video Player blog post. But as for now, I hope that this “Free Video Download Software” explanation helps you out!

Blogging From My iPad!

Hey look everyone I’m “Blogging From My iPad” while laying in bed like a true lazy blogger should do!

This is the first time for me to attempt to write a blog post from my iPad. This is just a test for now to demonstrate how a blogger can post to his blog from an iPad (Wait, did I say that right?).

Anyway, the technology is really doing well to make it easy for anyone to have a blog if they want to. Next up is trying to make a blog post from an iPhone and / or a smart phone, cool? [Short Thought].

Appreciating Life | Where were you on 9-11?

Appreciating Life Today

Where were you on-911 Twin Towers impact

Where were you on 9-11?

Where were you on 9-11? As I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on 9-11, 2001, I am Appreciating Life.

Tiffany Dow is one of the best friends I’ve ever had that I’ve never met, so I thought I’d give her a thumbs-up and a little credit for what she wrote on her blog.

Below is quoted comment that I made on her blog post called Where Were You On 9-11?

Begin Quote:

I was in my “Big-Truck” on the way to get an empty trailer at the old train lot. I saw another Truck Driver there so I got out and walked over to talk to him for a minute.

As I was leaning into his passenger-side window talking to him, someone on his two-way radio said that a plane had crashed into the world trade center. Ziff and me (we called him “Ziff”) just looked at each other and assumed it was a small plane and continued with our conversation… but then the guy on the two-way radio said “…It was a Jumbo Jet…” So…

I got back in my own truck and immediately turned on my FM radio to hear what the news might be saying.

As I was driving on my way to my own warehouse near the “Tennessee Eastman” plant (Eastman Kodak) less than two miles away, the people on the FM radio said “ANOTHER Jumbo Jet has just crashed into the other tower… we might be under attack!”

When I arrived at the warehouse, I ran inside and spoke loudly “Did you guys hear the news about the big planes crashing into the world trade center?!!” (those guys were always listening to the radio). All the guys inside the warehouse looked at me expecting a punch-line, coz I’m a playful kinda guy.

I screamed “Turn the radio to a different station!” (they were always listening to grunge rock stations that didn’t get into news too often), and then I jumped into my truck to make another round.

When I got back again, about 20 minutes later, ALL THOSE GUYS in the warehouse, including the boss, were glued to the FM radio… and we listened for a few minutes… but I had work to do that could not wait so I drove my truck the rest of the day listening to the news on the FM radio.

I had NO access to a TV until I got home at about 6 pm later that day. After seeing the “Video Replays” of the crashes on my TV it was like I just seen and heard it for the first time all day! It was weird! FFWD…

It amazed me at just how FEW Democrats and Republicans there were the next day… EVERY American was “Just American”, plain and simple!

Obviously I could say much much more but it would sound much like Tiffany has already wrote in this blog post.

Good Job Tiffany!

Gary.

End Quote:

We all know that a lot of people died that day and an untold large amount of people are in terrible pain due to the loss and or injury of their loved ones.

Facing Death may cause “Appreciating Life!”

In 2003 I survived a very scary flash flood with several family members and friends including my two children. I cringe to think what would have happened to my children had the right decisions not have been made on the spot… at the speed of thought!

Also, a few years ago my Doctor told me (after getting my blood work results back), that I was on my way out (as in dying) soon if I didn’t start taking better care of myself and start taking cholesterol medication immediately.

A New Mindset And Taking Action!

I refused to take the cholesterol medication and I told him that I would improve my diet enough to fix my cholesterol, sugar, blood pressure and other problems. My doctor said… “that’s what they all say!.. And then they die!” He was pretty mad at me.

Anyway, after a year or two of keeping to my new mindset, my blood work showed that my health was excellently back on track! My doctor couldn’t believe it, he was very happy about that!

You see!? I had used the brain that God gave me to decide to change my mindset, eat better and exercise more and make all my decisions based on how much I am “appreciating life”, and to live longer and healthier for my kids and family.

Anyway, many of us have had a brush with death before, be it big or small, so please feel free to share your story in the comment section below concerning….”Where were you on 9-11, and how you are Appreciating Life?
